For over 35 years, Vancouver Island artist, Ron Bridge, has considered himself lucky to live in the beautiful Comox Valley. And in that time, he has drawn on a wealth of inspiration from all over the region. Working mainly in oil, Ron manages to capture the subtleties of the West Coast nature, evoking its many moods with a dramatic use of light and colour. View gallery...

Ron’s CLOUDBURST STUDIO is nestled amongst the trees, with plenty of natural light – a perfect location for nature’s inspiration. Ron works from his initial response to a setting where he sees or feels something that compels him to paint – the play of light in the forest, the weathered buildings, the dramatic sky, the many moods of the ocean. Then, using sketches, plein-air studies, and photo angles, returns to the studio for the final creation.
