About Ron Bridge

Ron Bridge is a lifelong artist whose work captures the essence of nature, memory, and time. With a distinctive voice and a deep sense of place, Ron’s paintings speak to viewers through layers of texture, mood, and movement.

“One of the delights of art is that it forces one to look deeply – to really look – and appreciate the myriad colours, the layered textures, and the play of light of our natural world. And frequently, the commonplace takes on special meaning – the water bucket, the woodpile, the dahlias, the sky. I’ve always been drawn to those things with the patina of age – the weathered barn, the abandoned house which once was vibrant with life. And these subjects are ‘grist for my artistic mill’. And like a bird watcher, I’m a landscape artist ever alert to the world around me, fascinated by Nature.”

The Studio

Ron’s Cloudburst Studio is nestled among the trees with ample natural light—a peaceful and inspiring location for creative work. From this quiet retreat, Ron explores the play of light in the forest, the weathered buildings of the coast, and the many moods of the ocean. He often begins by sketching or photographing a scene before completing each painting in studio.

Inside the studio, visitors will find original oil paintings displayed in a warm and welcoming environment filled with cedar-paneled walls and natural textures. It’s a space that reflects the character of Ron’s work—quiet, grounded, and deeply connected to the surrounding landscape.
